Hey, ATXers. If you’re looking for something to do to get the weekend started early, might I suggest kicking off at Flipnotics to see Darling New Neighbors play? They seem like nice people and they were kind enough to mail me an advance copy of their new album, Rocket, which is fun, smart, jangly pop.

Also, having never seen the band before but only hearing them on record, I’m pretty sure I see guitarist Amy Moreland at Karaoke Underground each month. Yes/no?
If you can’t make it tonight, they’ll be playing at Lamberts at 8 p.m. on October 23rd and Martini Ranch in San Antonio on the 24th. Since I can’t make it to tonight’s show, my plan is to be at the Lamberts show. Maybe I’ll see you there. If not, check ‘em out tonight.
I don’t think Amy’s EVER been to KU, but she does look a bit like currrent regular Amanda, I think.
