Ya’ll, this has been a packed weekend for me. Friends have been in town. Parties have been thrown. Tex-Mex and brunches have been eaten. Oscar contenders have been watched (specifically District 9 and Up). I’m also spending the day with Kristen L. and Kristen W. tomorrow and going to a GRCA meeting. And it’s Valentine’s Day. I’m celebrating by having dinner and then going to the sock hop at Shangri-La with my partner and some friends. We’ll probably finish up season one of Breaking Bad before we go.
In short, I’ve been a little distracted. Good distracted, but it’s kept me from writing up a post on Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, which I rewatched with my cat yesterday morning. It’s also kept me from addressing some interesting comments people have left on my Taylor Swift post. Trust that I’ll get to it. But for now, I thought I’d offer up some aural valentines for you dear readers, some of which are not for romantics.
This one’s how I feel about love on a regular basis. Complicated, excited, woozy, a little annoyed at the situation and determined to retain ownership, but happy to entertain messy kissing sessions.

This one’s for my AFO girls. Remember when we’d dance to this one at Nelray after meetings and one of us who is now an actress would lip sync this song perfectly? Damn, 20 was a great year.
